David Jessop has a 29 year background in the insurance industry. He has worked directly for various insurance companies and owned his own independent agency for 12 years.

David is currently working on expanding the Minnesota based health insurance pool. This is a self insured program serving the schools, cities, counties and other governmental agencies within Minnesota.

On a national basis, The Risk Management Division has developed discounted basic life, long and short term group policies, creating substantial savings for all of NJPA’s Members. We are also able to analyze current stop loss coverage and/or provide optional programs in partnership with Alliant Insurance Services.

At the request of our membership, we are developing a commercial property and casualty program using the basic idea of cooperative purchasing and strength in numbers. Our large membership base has attracted some of the largest insurance companies in the nation.

David and his wife, Kay, live in Staples. He enjoys golf and each summer tours a different region of the country on his motorcycle.
