The networks below will all be held at our facilities in Staples, MN unless otherwise noted.  Join us for valuable professional development opportunities! (Tentative dates are listed on the respective flyer.)

Principal Network

The ability to create collaborative partnerships among leaders in our region will bolster the capacity to continuously improve ALL schools in Region 5. This value and belief drives NJPA to bring principal leaders together to address desired topics related to instructional leadership in highly effective schools. Topics may include the following:

  • Implementation that drives success of continuous improvement.
  • Strategic planning for comprehensive systems of support.
  • Data/curriculum/assessment to plan for student success.
  • Professional development for improved instruction and leadership.
  • Sharing and learning from each other.
  • Collaborating and developing valued partnerships with your colleagues.
  • Serving as an advisory focus group for the planning and evaluating of programs offered by NJPA Education Solutions.

Speech and Language Network

This is an opportunity to connect with other speech therapists in our region and tap into a wealth of experiences and ideas for your students, including:

  • Fluency strategies and building vocabulary
  • Ideas for students who stutter
  • Assessments
  • Strategies for ASD students
  • Assistive technology

Title I Network

Attend a monthly session at NJPA for valuable networking and learning with your fellow Title I teachers!

  • Stay current on Title I regulations and guidelines from MDE
  • Learn more about intervention strategies and scheduling.
  • Tips for managing data and assessment results
  • Time for sharing ideas, issues, and concerns

Gifted and Talented Network

The Gifted and Talented Network is an opportunity for GT educators, coordinators, and administrators to meet and collaborate around ideas and programming for gifted and talented students.  As a participant, you will join colleagues from across Region 5 throughout the school year to share expertise and learn new information about various topics including:

  • Student academic programs
  • Academic and arts competitions
  • Enrichment opportunities
  • Differentiation
  • Research and legislation
  • Identification and programming

District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) Network

NJPA Education Solutions will provide opportunities for the DACs in Region 5 to meet monthly to:

  • Share experiences, knowledge, successes, and challenges
  • Analyze and discuss procedures and manuals
  • Analyze and discuss data
  • Stay current on important guidelines and deadlines

Curriculum Coordinators (CC) Network

Professionals who organize and lead curriculum development (curriculum coordinators, principals, lead teachers, instructional coaches, etc.) will meet monthly to collaborate and build capacity with standards, assessment, and instruction. Participants will:  

  • Share experiences, knowledge, successes, and challenges
  • Analyze and discuss curriculum (standards), assessment, and instruction
  • Share resources
  • Stay current on standards, assessment, and instruction

Technology Network

If you are a media specialist, a teacher who uses technology in your classroom, or an on-staff technology integrationist, you may be interested in joining the Technology Integration Network coordinated by NJPA.  Join us at our monthly meetings to discuss topics such as:

  • Best practices for technology integration
  • The 4+ C’s of the 21st century
  • Media literacy
  • Digital literacy
  • Upcoming conferences and trainings
  • Topics important to you!

Content Networks

The Content Networks at NJPA are an opportunity for professional collaboration with teachers across Region 5 on a regular basis.  The purpose of the networks are to grow and develop through learning and sharing effective practices with standards, assessments, instruction, and progress monitoring.
